Woodchuck Gumption Hard Cider Jello Bites

You can only make so many pasta salads for each summer gathering. Break out of the mold (the JELLO mold, that is) and gump up your next affair. It’s time to try the Woodchuck® Gumption™ Hard Cider Jello Bites!

Woodchuck® Gumption™ combines the fresh juice of common eating apples with European dry cider apples. The fresh taste with a dry finish not only makes for a perfect cider, but also a perfect ingredient for a sweet and refreshing BBQ dessert. Try it for yourself!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of Woodchuck® Gumption™ Hard Cider
  • 4 packs of unflavored gelatin powder
  • 4 tbsp. of sugar
  • Half a lemon
  • Half of lime

Recipe

Over medium heat, bring 3 cups of Woodchuck® Gumption™ to a light boil. In a large bowl, dump in the remaining cup of Gumption, cold, and sprinkle on the 4 packs of gelatin powder.

Once the powder has absorbed the cider, pour in the 3 cups of hot Gumption™. After the gelatin has all dissolved, mix in 3 tbsp. of sugar and squeeze in the fresh lemon and lime juice.

Pour the jello concoction into a 13×9” dish and stick in the fridge to firm for about 2 hours.

Once firm, cut the jello into cubes, sprinkle the remaining sugar on top, and serve!

(PRO TIP: KEEP OVER ICE IF OUTSIDE. The sun will turn them back into good ol’ Gumption cider… not that that’s a bad thing)
