September 28, 2016
When you’re staying inside to get toasty warm, this is how you use up those orchard apples and make the house smell like Fall… Woodchuck Applesauce! Five ingredients. Simple. Delicious.
- 6 medium sized apples – peeled, cored, & sliced
- 12 oz. bottle of Woodchuck Amber
- 1/3 cup of brown sugar
- 1 tsp. of cinnamon
- 1 tbsp. of maple syrup
Whatchya need to do…
Combine your apples, cider, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a pot and bring to a rapid boil. Reduce to a simmer at medium-low heat, and add your maple syrup (SHOULD be Vermont, of course). Simmer for 40-45 minutes while stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat, and stir until your desired consistency. Let cool or enjoy warm!
