Ready for your weekend Woodchuck®? Who isn’t! As you reach that last sip of cider, you’re inevitably left with an empty 6-pack. What now? Hopefully that initial response is to throw those bottles and packaging right into the recycling bin. Is that your only option? With Earth Week upon us, we looked to our fans for some inspiration. What did we find? A whole lot of Upcycling!
Upcycling is the process of repurposing your waste into new products or useful materials. By taking a different look at your refuse, you can upcycle and old tire into a flower bed, or a broken ladder into a bookshelf! What could you do with your empty cider bottles? Direct from our fans, here are 5 Ways to Upcycle your Woodchuck®.
So it’s Earth Week, eh? It’s a time to focus on how we strive to better our planet and a reason to celebrate our Earth’s natural beauty. From desert to forest, we are spoiled with breathtaking landscapes. We don’t think there’s much of a coincidence between our celebration of Earth Week, and the National Park Service bringing focus to their outstanding parks. Tomorrow it’s time to get up, get outside, and Celebrate National Park Week! Check out some tips on where to go if you’re out west!
(A guest post from the American Forests Nonprofit)
Founded in 1875, American Forests is the oldest national nonprofit conservation organization in the country and has served as a catalyst for many of the most important milestones in the conservation movement.
We here at Woodchuck® take great pride in crafting the highest quality cider in the land. One of the key parts of that last sentence is “the land”. Without a healthy earth, apples won’t grow, and without apples there is no Woodchuck.
We have worked hard to keep an eye on the environment as we have grown over the last 23 years. We were one of the first to change our packaging to recycled material. We also continue to work on bringing more renewable energy into our power portfolio. We’ll talk more about this as the week goes on, but first we want to let you know about our Woodchuck Earth Week 2014!
It’s National Grilled Cheese Day! A day to celebrate the beloved combination of bread, cheese, and whatever delicious extras you put on that toasty sandwich. Here at Woodchuck, there’s a combination we still find hard to beat… cheese and apples.
On an occasion such as this, we couldn’t help but call over to our friends at Cabot Creamery. As they have been making award winning cheddar cheese & other dairy products since 1919, we knew they must be the experts in the grilled cheese category.
Cabot pointed us in the right direction with their Sun dried Tomato & Sausage Grilled Cheese. Using their Extra Sharp Cheddar, sun dried tomatoes, and smoked sausage, we knew exactly what to pair it with; our Woodchuck Amber 16 oz. Cans.
Now available nation-wide, these Amber cider 4-packs are easy to grab, and perfect for on-the-go. A convenience store gem, the Amber tallboys give you even more of that same great taste. Ready to make this holiday epic? First, find your Woodchuck Amber 16 oz. Cans here then follow this great recipe from Cabot, and cheers!
