Breast Cancer Awareness Month: RECAP

We’ve reached the end of October, and this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here at Woodchuck®, we tried not to just think pink, but we spent the month pouring Pink in hopes to bring attention to the cause and the organizations that support it. Across the 50 states, we teamed up with bars and restaurants to bring our Private Reserve Pink back on draft, a special style that was developed to support the local organization Dragonheart Vermont that helps cancer survivors after treatment. The style sits close to our hearts, as one of Woodchuck’s former cider makers created the style to support his wife; a founding member of Dragonheart Vermont, and a 10 year breast cancer survivor.

We’re excited to give you a peek at what went on this month in the restaurants and bars we partnered with on this cause. Check it out!

      Flammkuchen (Alsatian White Pizza)

1 lb. Pizza dough
3 ounces bacon, cut into small 1/4 inch strips
1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 cups leek, sliced
1 cup white onions, sliced
½ cup fat free plain greek yogurt
¼ teaspoon nutmeg, freshly grated
4 tablespoons chives, minced
Salt
Pepper

Introducing Woodchuck® Private Reserve Pink

Vermont is part of what makes up Woodchuck® Hard Cider’s soul.  Woodchuck® was started here in 1991 and has grown to national notoriety while remaining firmly rooted in Vermont’s Green Mountains.

It is with that in mind that we launch our latest Private Reserve Cider.  Woodchuck® Pink is cider with its sights set on improving our local community.
