New look for the Seasonals… starting with Fall Harvest!

We don’t want to admit it, but the seasons are starting to change up here in Vermont.

While we are technically still in the dog days of summer, early mornings are starting to require a bit more than a t-shirt. As for the trees in our parking lot? Well they’re starting to turn! ===>

As we notice these subtle changes, we also see those seasonal craft brews trickle onto store shelves. For us here at the cidery, that means it’s time for Woodchuck® Fall Harvest to start filling the tanks. The exact same recipe you remember from previous years, reminiscent of apple pie, this style puts a tasty spin on our cider with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of white oak. Can you say… autumn in a bottle? Yum!

This year, we have a few more reasons to Give A ‘Chuck™ about this style’s return. With the recent release of our new packaging, this is the first seasonal to show off the new look! The new Fall Harvest artwork, painted by local Vermont artist Kathleen Kolb, depicts Woodchuck employees during our participation in “Pick for your Neighbor”. Organized by the Vermont Foodbank, the program supplies apples to 270 different food shelves, meal sites, senior centers, and after-school programs! So I guess you could say that the harvest of fall apples makes up our Fall Harvest packaging… get it? That’s right. We try to be clever.

Furthermore, the Fall Harvest marks the kick-off of our shift from Limited Release ciders to Seasonal ciders. With a slight change in the name, a packaging makeover, and the same great recipe, we are moving to three Seasonals: Fall Harvest, Winter Chill, and Summer Time. This will allow us to keep each style on shelves longer, and give our fans more time to find these limited ciders! Nervous that you don’t see Spring on the list? Don’t worry! Really though… breathe! It may not be part of the Seasonal line, but it isn’t going away for good.  Stay tuned….

So as you dive into the season of picking apples, carving pumpkins, cider doughnuts, building scarecrows, peeping at colorful leaves (wow, we might be getting a bit excited!) keep an eye out for the Woodchuck Seasonal Fall Harvest to enjoy all Autumn long!
