New Filmmakers Festival

For years, Woodchuck Cider has not only been making Real Cider from a Real Place™, but we’ve also been fostering the passion to create and blaze your own path with those in our Woodchuck® Community. In the past, through festivals and our own cidery events, we’ve been bringing cider and music together. Now it’s time to take a little dive into films… We’re proud to announce our sponsorship of the inaugural Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival (MNFF)!

Set for August 27th – 30th, 2015, the Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival will provide an opportunity for first and second time filmmakers to exhibit their projects to a panel of judges and appreciative audiences from Middlebury and all over Vermont. With as many as 60 screening slots available, the Festival provides filmmakers with a great opportunity to showcase their work, engage in Q&A sessions, mingle with audiences and meet other directors.  And, to boost the exposure of the Festival’s best films after the event, the judges will select the top three feature films and top three short films for inclusion on the New England Circuit.  On the Circuit, (which we look forward to also sponsoring!), these filmmakers will have their films exhibited at great venues in each of the six New England states.  Promoted as the “Best of the Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival 2015”, these “mini-festivals” give the winning filmmakers the opportunity to follow their films around the Northeast and make valuable connections within their industry.

Woodchuck® Hard Cider is proud to support this local arts initiative, and looks forward to helping drive filmmakers to submit their work! We can’t wait to bring light to the creativity and innovation that complement our own values and how we Give a ‘Chuck™ here at the Cider House. With that said…
