‘Chuckin Cheesy Cider Dip… Bread Bowl

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup of Woodchuck Amber Cider – or preferred style!
  • 1 large round loaf of bread
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 8 oz. sour cream
    • Cream cheese and sour cream can substitute for each other, depending on your preference
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup mozzarella
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. paprika
  • Dash of salt and pepper
  • Bacon – for some extra attitude as a garnish!
  • 2 apples – great for dipping!

Recipe:

Preheat the oven to 350°.

In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar, mozzarella, Woodchuck Cider, garlic powder, paprika, and salt and pepper. Mix well, and put aside.

Take your loaf of bread, and carve a circle into the top. Clear the core, (but keep those innards!) and place on a baking sheet.

Fill the bread loaf with the cheese mixture, and stick the baking sheet right in the oven for 1 hour.

While the dip is baking, slice up the apples for dipping, toast up what you carved out of the loaf, and cook and crumble the bacon (we’re big advocates of testing the bacon as you prepare!).

Once the dip is ready, take out of the oven, stir it up a bit if you prefer a smoother texture, and let cool for about 5 minutes. Surround the dip with the apples and toasted bread, sprinkle on the bacon garnish (if you didn’t eat it all!), and serve.

YOU DID IT! You’re the star of the party.
