Woodchuck® Cellar Series Dry Hop is now on shelves across the country.  Its an exciting hard cider born from the many test batches of cider we experiment with in the cidery cellar.  We sat down with Cider Maker John Matson, to talk a little more about how the cider came to be and what possibilities the Cellar Series create for our most innovative hard cider styles.

Cider Maker’s Notebook: Belgian White Cider

John_Belgian_bigWoodchuck Hard Cider Private Reserve Belgian White is one of my personal favorites in our family of cider.  My love of thirst quenching summer wit and wheat craft beer, inspired me to experiment in bringing the style to hard cider.  I explored these styles as well as a few others including hefeweizen.  It gave me the opportunity to work with various yeast strains and draw from my experience as a beer brewer. I’m excited to share how we made the cider!
